it’s like camp...
years of being WEIRD with y’all and
We are excited to celebrate that milestone with you in the only way we
know how. WEIRD. In 2026, JANUARY 23rd-25th, you will head to sleep-
away sword camp, where you will be assigned to your cabin* Parent Trap
style. Over the course of the weekend, you will earn merit points (and
maybe DE-merits) for your cabin, and we will see who walks away Sword
Camp Champs! Points will be awarded for things like honorable fighting
behavior, cabin spirit, and maybe just how you strut around with all your
dueling ribbons!
*You’ll still be able to camp where you like with friends, don’t worry.
What’s Gonna Be At WEIRD?
This year, you will be a part of a camp! You will drop your tent where you please per usual, but you
will have a little community within a community for the weekend. Your camp will have counselors
who will be giving pep talks and fight coaching to get you ready for competing or just to do a little
friendly sparring or get training advice.
Which Camp Are You?
Who will be the HEMA Olympian this year?! Will it be an oldie but goodie (rapier painting) or will be it be some new diabolical test of skill. You will have to compete to find out.
