It’s Time To
Get WEIRD!
WEIRD Open has always aimed at being a smaller HEMA event centered around community, friendly yet fierce competition, and flying your Weirdo flag high to find your fellow Weirdos.
This year aims to be no different with a capped attendance to keep the event feeling intimate and accessible with lots of time for free fighting, socialization, and fun. We hope you will join us for a unique experience that is best summed up by ‘Adult Sleep Away Sword Camp’

What’s WEIRD this year?
Dueling Tree
Back by popular demand, the tree will be silent witness to many a duel fought! Come ready to challenge friend and stranger alike and see who has an armful of ribbons at the end of the weekend.
Invitational
Once again you will be able to watch high-end fighters from all over the country engage in exchanges that highlight skill, honor, and HEMA! Keep an eye out for more information.
HEMA-O-Lympics
Will you walk away a WEIRD Olympian? An ever changing event, you never know what each year will bring. Could be painting with a rapier or longsword guard twister!
